City of Lights (2)

From 1750 to 1810, the population of London was 1.5 million. It was the biggest city for the population in the world. It was an unplanned city, that’s why roads, bazaars, and residential areas couldn’t tolerate the pressure of people. There was no sewerage system. In front of every house, there was a spitting tank. Whole day sewerage water flows in the streets. Due to all that, in 1931, there was an epidemic that attacked the city. Fifty-five thousand people died due to that epidemic. That epidemic affected the house of communes. Even that the curtains of the house of communes was full of smell, the government wanted to solve that issue, so they gave that responsibility to Joseph Basil. He was the metropolitan chief engineer at that time. He was an intelligent, problem solving and could build up a long term policy. He surveyed the whole of London city. He asked everyone how many times he or she went to the washroom. He collected all data and multiplies that data with the population and again multiplies it three times, so in the future, it will work. He started and laid down the sewerage system in London. He joined the whole city with the sewerage system. He planted a treatment plant ten kilometers far away from the city, connected that sewerage lines with that plant. The purpose of the treatment plant was that it cleans the sewerage water and ejects it in the river themes. Only one policy of Joseph changed the whole of London city. In 1960 there was a boom in the business of property in London. The government thought that their sewerage system would be down, however they were shocked when they came to know that system of Joseph could tolerate all that pressure. The same model of Joseph was implemented in Europe. Europeans did an addition in that model. They reused the water of the treatment plant for toilets, bathrooms, laundry, lawns, and washing cars.

Now let’s discuss the situation of our city named Karachi. There are a few steps that our government should have to take if they want to save Karachi.

  • Find a responsible person like Joseph. He can change the sewerage system of Karachi.
  • Copy the model of Joseph and implement it in Karachi and then in the whole country.
  • Check and balance of a sewerage department. Complains should be entertaining in time.

After all, if the public wants to change Karachi then it’s not so difficult. We all have to realize our responsibilities. I hope INSHALLAH we will succeed in implementing that model and save our Karachi and return the lights of Karachi.

Is Pakistan Air Force reviving?

I want to write on this topic from last few days. However, I cannot due to some busy schedule. As you have seen the title, you have a hunch on it about the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Let me start by telling you one story. Few days ago, I met my friend. He is working on one of the PAF projects, and he revealed to me a shocking fact. He said that we build our first radar. I asked him with a bewildered look on my face that, "PAF didn't make radars on their own?". He said, "No, PAF buys radars from foreign countries: Germany and China." That news made me exhilarated, and I hope you will be feeling happy after knowing about it. Day by Day, Pakistan is on its way towards self-development. My friend told me about some previous scenarios. He said, "In retrospect, we had to pay a major amount for the acquisition of a single radar." We would wait for months if we had to deal with a problem or to add a new feature. We also had to pay extra money for that new featu...
