In the past few months, you have been listening to a lot of news but, something really shocking happened last week, a woman dispatched a letter to the Chief Minister of Sindh. She wrote down different details in that letter about her husband. Her husband was extremely sick; he did dialysis three times a week. Monthly 0.175 million spend on his treatment. Her two daughters afford these expenses but, now they can't afford them. I request that you please make the proper arrangements for my husband's medical expenses. She also wrote that my husband lives in the house that was given to me by my mother.
It's an ordinary letter. Daily a lot of people wrote such
letters to CM and request help. However, that was not a usual letter. That
letter was written, by the Daughter-in-law, of Liaquat Ali Khan. The first
Prime Minister of Pakistan. Her husband is the son of Liaquat Ali Khan named
Akbar Ali Khan. Let's first talk about Liaquat Ali Khan.
Few people know that Liaquat Ali Khan was a landlord of
karnal, India. In 1918, he went to Oxford University for higher education. In
1923, he joined politics, and in 1926, elected as a member of the UP Assembly.
In 1947, he came to Pakistan and left all his property in India, and even he
didn't claim it. He was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan. If he wants, he
could grab a lot of land in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. His family will be
a billionaire if he claims his property. But he never did that, Sad! Maybe he
didn't know that in the future how people will grab land in this country. He
left all this for the betterment of this country.
When Liaquat Ali Khan got shahadat, Khwaja Nazim-ud-Din, the
new Prime Minister of Pakistan, came to know that there is not a single house
of Liaquat Ali Khan. He sent Begum Ra'ana Liaqat Ali Khan to Holland as an
Ambassador of Pakistan. Queen of Holland gift a palace to Ra'ana Liaqat Ali
Khan, and she gave this palace to Pakistan Government. Now it's the residence
of an Ambassador, whoever goes to Holland.
If she only takes that palace, today's story is changed. But
she hand-over it to the Pakistan Government. Why didn't she take it? OR Why did
Liaquat Ali Khan didn't claim his property? I know it sounds frenzy to all of
you out there.
It's the country of those people who made it. And today
their, children are begging for their treatment. That is not only the situation
confronting the Liaquat Ali Khan family. Just check out the families of
Quaid-e-Azam and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. You will come to know that those who give
sacrifices for this country, their families are facing a crisis in their
country.
