Broadsheet LLC

Sharif Uddin Peerzada was a lawyer by profession. He was a unique lawyer who took out all kinds of scope from the law. General Zia Ul Haq called him a "Murshid." General Pervaiz Musharraf called him a "BOSS." In 1999 when General Pervaiz Musharraf took over the Government. Sharif Uddin Peerzada said to General Pervaiz Musharraf that only two people are dangerous for you. The first one is Benazir Bhutto, while the second one is Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. They only control by Accountability Beuro. General Pervaiz Musharraf liked that idea, so within a week, Accountability Beuro became the NAB.  Lt Gen. Amjad became the chairman of NAB. Jerry James and Dr. WF were just ordinary American lawyers and friends of Sharif Uddin Peerzada. When they got the news of Accountability Beuro in Pakistan, they registered an offshore company named Broadsheet LLC and approached General Pervaiz Musharraf through Sharif Uddin Peerzada. Broadsheet put an offer to General Pervaiz Musharraf that we would identify the assets of corrupt people and, you have to pay 20% of these assets. The proposal seems good to General Pervaiz Musharraf. He thought that Pakistan doesn’t have to pay a single penny from its pocket and get 80%. The company also said that they have proof of Sharif family assets worth five billion dollars. When General Pervaiz Musharraf listened to all these details, he became happy and ordered the chairman NAB to sign an agreement with Broadsheet. Farooq Adam was the NAB prosecutor at that time. He even didn't read the consensus with full concentration and nodded his head. Lt Gen. Amjad and Dr. WF signed the agreement. Representative of Broadsheet in Pakistan named Tariq Fawad malik signed in the box of witnesses. NAB handed over a list of 200 people to Broadsheet. The whole Sharif family, Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, General Zahid Akbar, Admiral Mansoor Ul Haq, and Businessmen, Beaurocrats and politicians were included in the list. NAB also signed an agreement with another company named Eastern Recovery for the assets of the Bhutto family. Both companies started their Job.

Kaveh Moussavi was associated with Broadsheet London. He was of Irani descent. Working as a teacher at Oxford University and also worked in Human Rights. He was in contact with Akbar S. Babar, the first high commissioner. Akbar S. Babar was a retired bureaucrat, intellectual, and professor. He also made a film named "Jinnah." One of his relatives was Brigadier in Pakistan Army.  Through that Brigadier, he met General Pervaiz Musharraf. He appoint as a High Commissioner. Later on, the scandal of "Jinnah" movie came out and, he was involved in it. So, after six months, he was replaced by Abdul Qadir Jaffar. A well-known Karachi Businessmen.  He belonged to the Country's renowned Industrial Group, Jaffer Brothers. Kaveh Moussavi also made his contacts with the new high commissioner. During that period, Jerry James came to Pakistan several times and collected money from NAB under his context.

In 2001, corrupt businessmen and bureaucrats started plebiscite with Government. When the money came in the NAB account, the Broadsheet arrived to get their fare. NAB asked to Broadsheet, "Which fare." Jerry James put forward the agreement. In agreement, it's mentioned that the company's responsibility is only to identify the assets, while the recovery wasn't their responsibility. NAB would be obliged to pay 20% after each identification.

NAB realized at that time that they signed the wrong agreement. In 2003, the agreement was broken and, the company went to International Court for arbitration and, the case began. With time Government changes, Asif Ali Zardari came into action. Jerry James contacted the new Government and wants to settle the issue out of court. Asif Ali Zardari did the approval for settlement. NAB paid the amount to Jerry James and signed a contract for withdrawal of the case. According to some facts, the amount paid to Jerry James was five million dollars or 1.5 million dollars. NAB found out that there was a fraud. Broadsheet LLC defaulted in 2005, after which Jerry James started a new company under his name. Kaveh Moussavi came out openly at that time and declared that “This Company is mine and, Pakistan has not had any settlement with me. My claim is valid." The court accepted his position and, the case went on.

In 2011, Jerry James fell from the fifth floor of a hotel in Paris and died. The more noticeable thing in all these scenarios is that, Broadsheet build-up in 1999 and it’s ended in 2005. It didn't have any other case rather than Pakistan. All past NAB chairmen also admit that Broadsheet did nothing but deceive the NAB. These people used to collect money by telling one or another story in every meeting. The International Arbitration Court in December 2018 ordered Pakistan to pay 60 million to Broadsheet. Kaveh Moussavi claimed that in 2016, one billion dollars were shifted from Saudi Arabia to London and, one billion dollars of Nawaz Sharif was lying in a bank in Singapore. The present Government withdraws 60 million from the accounts of the Pakistan High Commission and handed it over to Kaveh Moussavi.

The opposition started asking the government who kept the money in the High Commission's account and who allowed the court to withdraw the money and what NAB has recovered from the Sharif family so far? Still, no one is taking any responsibility for these 60 million dollars.

Is Pakistan Air Force reviving?

I want to write on this topic from last few days. However, I cannot due to some busy schedule. As you have seen the title, you have a hunch on it about the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). Let me start by telling you one story. Few days ago, I met my friend. He is working on one of the PAF projects, and he revealed to me a shocking fact. He said that we build our first radar. I asked him with a bewildered look on my face that, "PAF didn't make radars on their own?". He said, "No, PAF buys radars from foreign countries: Germany and China." That news made me exhilarated, and I hope you will be feeling happy after knowing about it. Day by Day, Pakistan is on its way towards self-development. My friend told me about some previous scenarios. He said, "In retrospect, we had to pay a major amount for the acquisition of a single radar." We would wait for months if we had to deal with a problem or to add a new feature. We also had to pay extra money for that new featu...
