Rescue 1122

On 24 Sept 2020, we were in Sargodha for a new link installation of Nokia. We completed the link and moving towards Bhakkar. When we reached Chak 114 Janubi Sargodha, we saw an accident. One person was poorly injured. We had a first aid kit according to SOPs of Nokia. We stopped our car my team members started doing bandage. I called Rescue 1122. They told me that you have to stay there as we have only your contact number. I agreed because I thought that they would come in a few minutes. After 15 minutes, I again called them. They said we were on our way and stuck in traffic. One thing that I have to mention is that Rescue 1122 cant have a tracker to trace the caller location. I m not the local person who knows about the area. So I tried my best to tell my location. After 5 to 10 minutes, I again called them and said to them that I m heading towards my site so, please kindly jot down the number of a local person who was standing beside me. They said, " you have to stay there till we have to come." At last, I told them that I did the bandages. So, one of them asked me, " sir koi haddi tou ni tooti , aap na bandage kar di ha bas hamaray anay ka ab koi faida ni." I listened to his compliments and thought that when we will change our mindset. At last relatives of that person came there and they took him to the clinic.

The main thing that shocked me is their behavior and I came to know that the rescue department has no location tracker. It means that if anyone faces any accident and he or she is unable to tell the exact location then there will be no rescue team that arrived at your spot.
